Are pines always pointy?

Are we talking silhouette or leaves? Pines have a broad range of grand-scale morphology, some positively round (think of certain low junipers and young piñons). Leaf-wise, most are pointy at some stage in their development. There are several (junipers are an example) who start out with scale-like leaves that only spread and become sharp when the shoots are mature.
